Comments
Flew an Estes Ascender with a PSII booster and an E16-0. The rocket staged flawlessly and the F15-8 burned completely, but the ejection charge and parachute was never seen deployed. Later, when looking for another rocket lost at the same site, I found the rocket lodged 6" into the dirt. All indications are that the ejection charge either never fired or was not powerful enough. As this was an Estes motor and Estes rocket flown under the manufacturers specified configuration, I contacted Estes and they replaced the rocket.
