The motor grains burned as designed. The issue if the EZ delay component. It was pre-set at 14 seconds. Two seconds were taken off with the Aerotech provided RMS delay adjustment tool.
The delay after recovering the rocket from a very early ejection while still gaining altitude from the thrust, zippered the upper portion of the rocket.
Comments
After taking the reload motor apart, the delay component did not burn evenly. It appeared as though a bullet shot straight through the delay grain. There was still a considerable amount of remaining delay along the outlining wall of the EZ delay component (photos attached).
