Motor functioned properly for approximately 1/2 second then malfunctioned, pressure blew off nose cone breaking shock cord and damaging installed altimeter. Was installed in Estes Vapor rocket.
The motor tube housing was not harmed although nothing was left behind inside the paper tube.
