Comments
The engine (Estes A10-3T) ignited, the rocket (Estes Fat Boy) launched and at about 6-8 feet the nosecone blew off ejecting all the recovery wadding with the parachute with a large flame coming out the top of the tube and scorched my 3" x 3" Nomex parachute protector, slightly scorched my nylon-fabric parachute, and scorched the inside of the body tube and seemed to tear a layer of paper away from the inside of the tube, deform the tube and heat the paint.
