Comments
This is the second time in a row I've had a failure like this with this particular engine. Both were used in an Aerotech G-Force rocket. Lift off, burn and altitude were all normal but the ejection charge failed to push out the parachute out. I made sure with the second model there was no chance the connection was too tight at the connection. The labyrinth cooling system was not bunched up. Everything was correct but the ejection failed and the rocket came in ballistic. The first model crashed in a swamp and was never recovered. The second hit an empty parking lot and upon removal of the motor, the aft section shows the charge did indeed go off as the cap was missing but apparently the charge wasn't enough to open the recovery system. I suspect the same thing happened with the first G-force model. I had used this motor several times in the past with positive results but now I no longer trust it. I'm not going to try my luck a third time.
