Comments
Motor was flown with rest of the 3-pack, all of the same date code. Airstarted via j-tech ematch loosely masking taped in the nozzle. Motor ejected nozzle and burning propellant, likely very shortly after ignition, but it was hard to tell exactly when since it was already in the air. Other 2 motors in pack performed fine. Motor mount tube (external to rocket) had a small bit of structural damage just forward of the case, which indicates that something went out the front end that was stronger than a normal ejection charge. Additionally, there was another E12 failure on the same day that appeared to fail similarly (fireball right at the pad). Unfortunately I do not have details, so hopefully the flier will submit a MESS form.
