Comments
Looks like the Filament Wound fiberglass casing failed just forward of where the nozzle ended, almost an even cut across. Event occurred about 0.5 seconds after the motor came up to pressure. Gave the motor pieces and parts to Aerotech on-site. What disturbed me about this failure was when the Aerotech employees that showed up just afterwards admitted the company knew of a problem with this motor already...but no recall? Why knowingly let a bad product out into use? Not only unsafe, but puts the customer last.
