Comments
Motor casing was intact and apparently undamaged, however the over-pressure it created inside the Big Daddy rocket tube caused a 4 inch split in the tube at one of the fin locations. During launch, a few feet above the launch pad, the nosecone separated and the parachute was torn loose from the body tube (all the parachute lines were detached). The burning propellant continued upward for perhaps 50-80 feet before burning out, while the rocket body, nosecone and parachute fell to the ground nearby.
