The forward 3"- 4" of the casing were blown away and not recovered. The forward closure was found with unburnt delay grain.

Motor exploded less than one second after ignition. Rocked had just started moving and was still on the rail. Rocket was blown in two. Aft closure wedged into snap ring retainer.
