Ejection end blown out
description
The forward o-ring was fine and the forward closure remained in the motor, but the delay grain, plastic forward closure, and power charge looked like someone took a torch to the center and burned a hole in it.I have pictures of the motor if anyone wants. Because this was a certification flight the assembly, including the delay adjustment, was observed. We used the CTI DAT set to -7 seconds.

Comments
We flew six of these motors, all from the same lot and date.Only one malfunctioned, but it looked like someone had burned the delay grain and ejection charge right out of it. The only damage was to the inside of a cardboard Mad Cow Torrent lower body tube and the shock cord.
