description
Super low-thrust. Model was a Skill Level 1 Custom "Razor". Model had only enough thrust to clear the launch rod and then fell to the ground. It appeared that the motor contained mostly "delay" grain instead of propellant. Of more than 100 motors from this batch and about 36 models of this type flown that day, this was the only one to behave in this manner. The model mass did not differ significantly from the others in the group, so motor malfunction seems to be the cause. Examination of the spent casing shows no other abnormality. The nozzle appears to be intact and undamaged. It does not appear to differ in shape or throat diameter from other burned motors in this batch.
