The motor ignited and failed nearly instantaneously. The motor casing with the nozzle was ejected from the bottom of the rocket through the motor hook while the propellant shot up through the entire rocket ejecting the parachutes and nose cone. The rocket had a cluster of 3 Estes D12-5s and the other two (from the same package) performed as expected.
