Comments
Normal burn. This was a TARC practice launch, and the altimeter reading for this flight was comparable to similar flights with other motors from the same lot on the same day. The motor ignited and flew normally, but the ejection charge failed to fire. The black plastic retainer cap for the ejection charge was still in place in the well inside the yellow forward closure. Either there was no ejection charge installed, or the delay grain failed to light the charge. We returned the motor to the manufacturer via a vendor. Six other motors from the same lot flew normally that day, and we still have a few more from that lot.
