description
Despite no wind, model began tumbling end over end after leaving launch rod. Our RSO blames uneven nozzle burning. The nozzles of other spent F15's are round and measure about 5/32" in diameter. The nozzle of the malfunctioned one is slightly elliptical and measures 7/32" by almost 1/4".

Comments
Long enough to leave the rod, ascend about 10 or 15 feet and begin tumbling. When its propellant ignited the upper stage, the model was pointed in a downward angle and crashed under power. It was an Ascender with the Pro Series II booster stage made for it, prepared according to instructions.
