2 sec into flight the rear closure failed explosively. The pressure blew the threaded retainer ring off and blew off 5-7 mm off the bottom of the bell shaped retainer (See Giant Leap Rocketry 38mm bell shaped retainers). Soot found 5in into the motor mount tube. Explosion snuffed out delay charge. Ejection charge did not fire. Dual deploy electronics operated nominally. Metal motot case found next to the rocket on recovery.
