description
AMW/ProX provided a replacement forward closure with this reload. Greig Leach (flyer) replaced the original nozzle with the replacement nozzle. Immediately after launch the forward end of the case burned through. Unlike other CTI forward closure failures covered by the recall, the forward closure could not be found. The rolled over lip of the case was torched and the top 3 inches of the reload liner have been burned off. I have photos of the destroyed motor casing and what’s left of the reload.

A fraction of a second. The altitude the rocket attained was probably a hundred feet before the side of the body tube blew off and the parachute shook out.
