The nozzle blew out of the motor at ignition, along with many pieces of unburned propellant. The rocket (an Estes Argent) raised about 1 foot off the pad, and apparently the overpressure blew out some gas through the front closure as the payload bay blew off too. The case at the rear closure end flared out, so the case (and probably the rear closure) are no longer usable. I plan to send the motor in as-fired state to Aerotech for a warranty replacement.
