Ejection charge appears to have ignited at the same time as the thrust end of the engine - photos show flames coming out the top of the body tube, ejecting the nose cone and parachute, with the rocket being only 10-12" above the blast deflector. Later photos show flaming chunks coming out the bottom end of the rocket. Casing was completely empty when retrieved and exterior of the casing looked fine.
